Alachua County announces its schedule for the 4th of July weekend

Other than emergency services, all Alachua County government offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2020, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
 
The Animal Services shelter will be open on Friday, July 3rd, but closed on Saturday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
 
Animal Services’ Officers respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, to matters affecting public safety and animals in immediate danger. Citizens should dial 911 to report such emergencies on Sundays, holidays, and between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. nightly.
 
During regular hours (Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding holidays), Alachua County Animal Services can be reached at 352-264-6870.
 
Residential curbside collection service for solid waste, recycling, and yard trash will not be affected due to the observance of Independence Day on Saturday, July 4th.
 
The Office of Waste Collection, the Hazardous Waste Collection Center, the five Alachua County Rural Collection Centers, and the Leveda Brown Environmental Park and Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, July 4th.
All services will resume their normal schedule on Monday, July 6th.
