Alachua County will host its final community workshop on Tuesday, Sept. 23, to address concerns about street safety for all road users.
The workshop will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Swick House (15100 NW 142nd Terr., Gainesville). RSVP to the event on Facebook.
The meeting will highlight proposed safety projects, including key pieces of the draft Safe Streets and Roads for All Action (SS4A) Plan, an initiative that aims to make the streets safer for all residents. This is the third and final public meeting planned for this public safety initiative.
The SS4A plan seeks to identify and address the systemic issues contributing to these incidents, focusing on policy improvements and actionable projects to reduce risks for all road users.
This final workshop will present draft recommendations and proposed safety projects.
