Two Christmas classics open at the Hippodrome Theater stage over the next seven days.
Starting Friday, “Miracle on 34th Street” will debut at 8 p.m.
“Miracle on 34th Street” transports the audience back to the musical radio play adapted from the 1947 broadcast as the cast retells the story of a last-minute replacement Santa for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade who claims to be the real Kris Kringle, spurring the belief of a little girl that brings love, happiness and the heart of the holiday spirit.
The show will play five times a week at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays from Nov. 26 through Dec. 23. Extra showtimes will be Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m.

Charles Dicken’ novel “A Christmas Carol” will start with two showings at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5. The Saturday and Sunday show times run through Dec. 19. Extra dates include 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, and 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23.
“A Christmas Carol” centers on Dickens’ tale about selfish businessman Ebenezer Scrooge, who learns a lesson from the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future that transform him into a better man.
