The South Sumter Raiders broke open a scoreless first quarter with 17 second quarter points and held on to defeat the Bradford Tornadoes 31-20 in week nine of high school football action Friday night.

Trailing 17-6, Bradford scored two touchdowns in the third quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the Raiders.

The win drops the Tornadoes record on the season to 4-5. They play at home against Fort White next week. South Sumter improves to 2-4.
