A Trenton man, 34, died early Thursday morning after a head-on collision with a semitruck on County Road 235 in Alachua County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident happened before 3 a.m. just south of the intersection with County Road 232.

The report said the Trenton man was driving a sedan south, toward Newberry, while two semitrucks from Andersonville, Georgia, headed north. The sedan sideswiped the first semi before continuing into the next, FHP said.
