The Newberry Panthers lost a tough game to the Hawthorne Hornets 20-14 to open the 2020 season. But since that loss, they have gone on a tear, winning seven straight games heading into the playoffs Friday night.
Tonight from 7-8 p.m. Newberry football coach Ed Johnson and members of the Panthers’ football team will be our guests on “The Prep Zone” sports show at Sonic Drive-In of Gainesville. The Panthers, who are 7-1, will host Trenton this Friday night in a Class 1A Regional Quarterfinal.
