Today’s senior spotlight is on Zach Tolodoxi of Williston High School.
Tolodoxi played football as a freshman and was a four-year varsity player for the Red Devils’ baseball team. During his 2020, he played outfield, and batted .333 through nine games. He was fourth on the team with nine hits and was second with 10 runs scored.
His favorite baseball memory was winning the 2019 Class 1A state championship in Fort Myers.
The Red Devils won the Class 1A state title, beating Levy County rival Chiefland in the final, 4-2, to cap a 21-9 season. It marked Williston’s third state baseball title in six years after winning back-to-back championships in 2014-2015.
Coach Jim Smith called Zach “the perfect teammate and a fantastic person.” He said he is “dedicated and worked hard each day to be the best he could be. He stands out as a great defensive player.”
Tolodoxi was also a member of the National Honor Society.
