A 24-year-old Raiford man died Tuesday afternoon when a pickup hit his motorcycle on West Weldon Street in Starke.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 68-year-old Starke woman was driving a pickup truck east on West Weldon Street and drove into the eastbound travel lane near North Orange Street at 5:36 p.m. when she collided with the motorcycle.
When the FHP officer arrived, the woman was parked in the north driveway of Bradford High School (611 North Orange Street) and the motorcycle was leaned up against a utility pole facing southeast.
Emergency responders took the Raiford man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
