Mt. Carmel Baptist Church will celebrate its 129th anniversary, honoring over a century of worship, community and service, on Sunday, Sept. 21.

The community is invited to a special anniversary worship service to be held at 10 a.m. at 2505 NE 8th Ave. in Gainesville.

This year’s theme, “A Legacy Worth Celebrating: 129 Years of Faith, Family & Fellowship,” reflects the church’s ongoing mission to share the Gospel, strengthen families and build lasting connections.

“Our church has been a cornerstone for generations,” said Sr. Pastor Destin L. Williams, Pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, in a press release. “This is a time to reflect on our rich history and look forward with faith.”
