Due to weather conditions in Jacksonville, we have revised our football broadcast schedule for Friday.
Instead of Hawthorne at University Christian (Jacksonville) as part of our “live” broadcast schedule this week, we will instead broadcast the Santa Fe (Alachua) at Keystone Heights football game.
It’s a Class 2A-District 5 game for the Raiders (4-2, 1-1) and the Indians (0-6, 0-2). It’s also homecoming for the Indians.
Santa Fe is looking to snap a two-game losing streak following a 49-17 loss at home to University Christian on Sept. 26 and a 27-7 loss at home to Newberry last week.
Keystone Heights has struggled this season and has been outscored, 104-7, in its two district games at home against Newberry (51-7) on Sept. 12 and Bradford (Starke) on Sept. 26 (53-0).
In the latest FHSAA football rankings, Santa Fe is currently sixth in Class 2A-Region 2, with the top eight teams in the region making the postseason next month.
