Three people were injured when an SUV failed to yield to a tractor-trailer and was hit on State Road 121 in Williston Highlands on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 42-year-old Belleview woman was driving an SUV west on County Road 326 and was approaching State Road 121. A 54-year-old Orlando man was driving a tractor-trailer loaded with lime rock south on SR 121 when the SUV arrived at the stop sign at the intersection but failed to yield the right-of-way to the oncoming tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer struck the passenger side of the SUV in the southbound lane of SR 121. The tractor-trailer then veered to the left after the collision before overturning onto its passenger side and blocking the northbound lane of 121. The trailer’s load spilled across both lanes of SR 121, causing an extended road closure.
