According to a Northern District of Florida U.S. Attorney’s Office press release sent Thursday, Devin Waldeck, 35, of Cross City, was charged by federal criminal complaint with one count of sexual exploitation of children and one count of distribution of material constituting child pornography.
If convicted, Waldeck could face a minimum of 15 to 30 years imprisonment on the sexual exploitation of children count, and a minimum of five to 20 years imprisonment on the distribution of material constituting child pornography count.
The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida John P. Heekin.
The case involved an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Dixie County Sheriff’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christie S. Utt.
