Visiting Newberry (14-1), which is No. 2 in 3A-Region 1, has won two in a row in the series, including a 70-52 win at home on Dec. 2.

However, Buchholz coach Elliot Harris is confident about his team’s chances.

“It’ll be a tough one, but it’s going to be a good one,” Harris said following the Bobcats’ 62-51 win at Eastside last Friday. “The Panthers are a really good team, but we are too. They beat us earlier, but we’re not the same team as we were at the beginning of the season…it’s going to be a slugfest at home on Tuesday.”

Buchholz (13-5), which is currently No. 7 in a tough 6A-Region 1, made a total of 11 3-pointers in the win against the Rams, who are currently ranked No. 15 in Class 4A and fourth in 4A-Region 2.
