- The P.K. Yonge boys soccer team won the FHSAA Class 2A-District 3 title by defeating Williston 2-1 on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday night, the P.K. Yonge boys soccer team edged Williston, 2-1, to win the FHSAA Class 2A-District 3 title.
On Wednesday night, P.K. Yonge head coach Jose De Leon, who won his third district title in seven seasons, and the district champion Blue Wave will be guests on “The Prep Zone Sports Show” at the locally-owned Sonic Drive-In of Gainesville (Archer Road location).
P.K. Yonge (17-3-2) will participate in the FHSAA Class 2A-Region 1 Quarterfinals on at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The opponent and venue are still TBA.

The visiting Bobcats, who will be the No. 2 seed in next week’s Class 6A-District 3 tournament, edged the Red Devils, 53-51, in their only meeting last year (Jan. 30).
Buchholz (16-6) bounced back from the overtime loss at home to GHS (38-36) last Friday with a 55-36 win at home on Tuesday against Bradford (Starke).
Williston (15-6), which will be the No. 2 seed in the Rural District 7 tournament, snapped a two-game losing streak this past Monday with a 56-52 win at Santa Fe (Alachua).
