The Holiday Inn Gainesville University Center celebrated the completion of its property renovations with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Tuesday.

The event showcased the Holiday Inn’s remodeling of its guest rooms and public spaces. Tours were given during the ceremony at the hotel, located at 1250 W. University Ave. in Gainesville, across from the University of Florida.

“The renovation includes fully redesigned guest rooms and suites featuring modern furnishings, upgraded technology, and refreshed décor that reflects the vibrant spirit of Gainesville and the University community. Public spaces throughout the property have also been reimagined to create a welcoming and contemporary atmosphere for guests and locals alike,” the release stated.

Enhancements to the hotel include an upgraded lobby and gathering areas, improved guest amenities and refreshed meeting and event spaces.

“This renovation represents a major investment in the property and in the Gainesville community,” said the hotel’s leadership team in the release. “Our goal was to create a refreshed, modern environment while maintaining the welcoming service guests have come to expect. We are excited to celebrate this milestone and welcome both new and returning guests.”
