
Nearly 4,000 protesters are expected at Cora Roberson Park in Gainesville on Saturday, March 28, for the nationwide No Kings III rally.
The rally will start at 11 a.m. with people marching from the Cade Museum at 811 S. Main St., around the roundabout to Cora Roberson Park (600 SW 6th St.). A coalition of groups is expected to join with signs, costumes and noise makers to protest President Donald Trump’s administration, the war in Iran, inflation and Trump’s deportation policy against immigrants.
The event will feature speeches by elected officials and community leaders, live music and a pro-democracy organization tabling for future actions.
A park and ride will be available at the Depot Park extending parking lot located at SE 4th Street and SE Veitch Street.
The sponsors of the rally include the Gainesville Women for Democracy, Badass Feminists Gainesville, Democratic Women’s Club of Alachua County, 50501gnv, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Indivisible Gainesville and others.
