JBF Gainesville brings together more than 900 local families to sell gently loved and new children’s items—including clothing, shoes, toys, baby gear, books, and more—at up to 90% off retail prices. The event draws approximately 7,800 shoppers throughout the week, creating a one-stop destination for families to stretch their budgets while supporting their community.

Featured Community Partnership: Safe Kids North Central Florida

JBF Gainesville is partnering with Safe Kids North Central Florida, a coalition led by UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, to provide free car seat safety checks during the event on April 15 and 16.

Families attending the sale are invited to take advantage of free car seat safety checks conducted by certified technicians. Caregivers who complete a car seat safety appointment on either day will receive free admission to the early access or public sale, along with a $10 JBF gift card to use during the event.

In addition, families who qualify through programs such as WIC, Medicaid, or SNAP may be eligible to receive a free car seat with pre-registration. This initiative connects families with critical safety resources while helping ensure children are traveling safely.

“As advocates for child passenger safety, our coalition members are passionate about making sure every caregiver feels confident that their child is riding safely,” said Jordyn Zyngier, Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention & Outreach Coordinator with UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids North Central Florida Coordinator, in the press release. “By offering free checks, incentives, and resources all in one place, we’re helping ensure every child has a safe ride, no matter their circumstances. Car seat safety can certainly feel overwhelming, but our goal is to make it simple, supportive, and accessible for everyone.”
