Santa Fe College is proposing changes to its user fees and fines starting in the 2026-27 school year.
According to an SF College press release, the District Board of Trustees will consider changes to the college’s 2026-27 user fees and fines schedule at a meeting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16.
If approved, the release said the changes would take effect on July 1.
The proposed updates relate to fingerprint fees, laboratory fees and the addition of an application fee, according to the release. Several lab fees would be reduced or eliminated.
“All proposed lab fee increases are based on an increase in the cost of the services,” the release said. “The fees and fines proposed are for unusual costs, and the funds received by the College will be used to cover the cost of the services provided.”
The user fees and fines, which are reviewed each June, “shall not exceed the cost of the services provided and shall be charged only to persons receiving the services,” according to the release. “User fees and fines are assessed to students who engage in the services that, because of their nature, require special funding not provided by regular tuition.”
The proposed 2026-27 user fees and fines schedule is available at https://www.sfcollege.edu/finance/student/user-fees-fines.html.
According to the release, credit and non-credit clock-hour tuition and fee rates will remain unchanged for the 2026-27 academic year and can be found at https://www.sfcollege.edu/finance/student/tuition-dates-schedules.html.
