The Gainesville Fine Arts Association will present the Studio Tour Preview Exhibition beginning May 27 at the GFAA Main Gallery, offering visitors a preview of artwork from artists participating in the annual GFAA Artist Studio Tour.
The exhibition will showcase work from each artist, opening their studios to the public during the Studio Tour weekend on May 30-31, providing art lovers and collectors an opportunity to preview the range of artistic styles and media featured throughout the event.
The Preview Exhibition will be displayed in the Main Gallery alongside “Art In The Hammock,” an additional exhibition featured in the gallery’s front exhibition space.
An opening reception and Studio Tour Kickoff Party will take place on Friday, May 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. during Artwalk Gainesville. Organizers said the event will allow visitors to meet artists, explore the exhibits, and learn more about the upcoming studio tour.
Both exhibitions will remain on display from May 27 through June 19.
In addition to the exhibitions, visitors will be able to shop for locally created artwork and browse the gallery’s newly expanded gift shop.
The exhibitions and kickoff event are free and open to the public.
Additional parking is available at the grocery store lot adjacent to the gallery, as well as along Main Street.
