- GRACE Marketplace plans to restart a national search for a permanent CEO following the unexpected leadership change.
The GRACE Marketplace Board of Directors announced the immediate appointment of Mark Bonner as its interim chief executive officer, replacing Darius Williams, who served in the role for nine months.
Bonner joined GRACE in 2022 and worked as an operations advocate before becoming the director of facilities and purchasing, according to a press release. GRACE said it intends to restart a national search for the next permanent CEO.

“We are confident that Mark will be a strong leader for our organization through this
transitional period,” Julianne Raymond Flinchum, Board Chair of GRACE
Marketplace, said in the release.
Williams was selected after a three-month search in 2025 after long-time CEO Jon DeCarmine stepped down at the end of 2024. GRACE said Williams is no longer employed by the nonprofit. He served as CEO for nine months and spoke with Mainstreet in December about the role.
GRACE Marketplace did not respond to a request for comments outside its press release.
