A 71-year-old Morriston man died on Friday night when his pickup truck failed to negotiate a right curve on County Road 326 in Levy County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was traveling west on CR 326 at 8:10 p.m. when he drove off the road on a curve and continued into the tree line, where his pickup collided with a tree. The pickup truck then caught on fire with the driver trapped inside.
Emergency responders reported the man sustained fatal injuries.
