- The Annual Action Plan guides Gainesville's application for HUD funding under CDBG and HOME programs to address housing and community needs.
The city of Gainesville Housing & Community Development Department is inviting residents to provide input on the city’s 2026-27 Draft Annual Action Plan during two upcoming public meetings in July.
The Annual Action Plan serves as the city’s application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funding. Public feedback will help identify Gainesville’s most pressing housing and community development needs and guide how federal funds are allocated.
Residents are encouraged to attend one of the following meetings:
Monday, July 13, at 5:30 p.m.
Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Development Meeting
Thomas Center
306 NE Sixth Ave., Gainesville
Thursday, July 16
City Commission Meeting
City Hall Auditorium
200 E. University Ave., Gainesville
City staff will provide an overview of the Annual Action Plan process and gather community input on priorities for federal housing and community development funding.
Draft plan documents are available online for public review.
Residents who are unable to attend a meeting may submit comments by email to COGHousing@GainesvilleFL.gov no later than Tuesday, July 21.
The Housing & Community Development Department encourages all interested residents, stakeholders and community partners to participate in the planning process and help shape future investments in housing, neighborhood revitalization and community services throughout Gainesville.
Draft documents are available for review online.
