The former Williston Middle School was recently sold for $1.885 million following a successful online auction facilitated by Lee & Associates Gainesville through the Ten-X platform.
According to a Lee & Associates Gainesville press release sent on Wednesday, the transaction for the property at 20550 NE 42nd Place closed on June 5.
Lauren Vazquez and Dan Drotos of Lee & Associates Gainesville represented the seller, using the Ten-X online auction platform to generate interest, maximize market exposure and create a competitive bidding environment for the property.
“We’re pleased with the outcome of this transaction and the strong interest generated through the Ten-X auction platform,” Vazquez, vice president at Lee & Associates Gainesville, said in the press release. “This was a unique asset, and the auction process proved to be an effective strategy to drive a successful result for our client.”
According to Lee & Associates, the sale reflects continued investor demand for adaptive reuse opportunities across North Central Florida, particularly for well-located institutional properties. The brokerage said the transaction also demonstrates the firm’s ability to leverage nontraditional marketing strategies to maximize value for clients in a challenging commercial real estate market.
The brokerage team also recognized Ten-X for its role in the transaction.
