Following a successful debut earlier this year, the Fade Wellness Experience will return to Gainesville on Friday, Aug. 29, with organizers aiming to expand the event’s reach and make health and wellness more accessible to the entire community.
The free community health and fitness event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Central Florida Community Center (5201 NW 34th Blvd., Gainesville). The event will feature group workout classes, local health and wellness vendors, giveaways, educational resources, community services and family-friendly activities.
The event builds on the success of Fade Fest, held May 30, which drew strong community participation. Encouraged by the response, organizers are expanding the experience and plan to hold the event quarterly, with the goal of reaching more residents with each gathering.
“Fitness is everywhere, but what people really need is a space to experience it together,” said Cameron Hogan, owner of Fade Fitness, in a press release. “This event is about bringing Gainesville together through movement, helping neighbors connect with one another while also supporting their health and long-term wellness.”
The Fade Wellness Experience is designed as more than a fitness event. Organizers describe it as a community gathering where residents can exercise together, meet local health professionals and learn about wellness resources available throughout the Gainesville area.
Fitness instructors, wellness vendors and community partners will be on-site throughout the event. Children’s activities also will provide opportunities for families to participate together.
Organizers hope the event will strengthen community connections while encouraging healthier lifestyles in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The Aug. 29 gathering represents the next step toward establishing the Fade Wellness Experience as a recurring community tradition that continues to grow with each event.
