Gainesville Housing Authority to host ‘Storytime at the Plaza’ on Saturday

The Gainesville Housing Authority (GHA), in partnership with the Cone Park Library, will host “Storytime at the Plaza,” a free early childhood reading program for children ages pre-K3 through pre-K, on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The event will start at 11 a.m. at the GHA ELITE Service Plaza (56 NE 26th Terrace, Gainesville).

The program is an expansion of the Cone Park Library’s weekly Saturday Storytime and will give young children and their families an opportunity to enjoy shared reading while developing early language and literacy skills.

Special community guests will read some of their favorite children’s books and engage with families during the event.

The program is intended for children ages pre-K3 through pre-K and their parents or guardians.
