Williston man, 19, dies in single-vehicle crash in Levy County

A 19-year-old Williston man was killed on Tuesday evening when he failed to negotiate a curve along Highway 326 near Morriston and collided with a standing reflector, a traffic sign support and a tree.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was traveling west on Highway 326 at 8:36 p.m. while approaching a right-hand curve onto County Road 539. The vehicle continued in a westerly direction and collided with a standing reflector and the entered a tree line, where it eventually crashed into a tree.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene.
