Trinity United Methodist Church will host its annual “Blessing of the Animals” on Sunday, Oct. 4, in Gainesville.
The event will run from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. outside the Youth Building at 4000 NW 53rd Ave. Community members are invited to bring their furry, feathered, scaly and other animal companions to receive a blessing from Pastor Charlie.
The free event is open to the community and offers an opportunity to celebrate pets and the special role they play in people’s lives.
