The family-friendly event will run from noon to 5 p.m. at 218 NW Second Ave. and bring community members together for an afternoon of live music, food, local vendors and activities for children while celebrating Community Spring’s mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty and mass incarceration.
Attendees can enjoy live performances by The Confession Kids, The Wire Birds, PurpleKloud, FakksOnly, Jordan Murcher Burchel and Sam Moss.
The event will also feature food trucks and sweet treats, vendors selling art, jewelry, clothing and baked goods, and a kids zone with special appearances by the Gainesville Circus Center, face painters, Joy Fairy Hair and others. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages will also be available.

Community Spring is a grassroots economic justice nonprofit based in Gainesville. The organization focuses on the intersection of poverty and the carceral system, citing its experience with mass incarceration as both a cause and effect of poverty.
