The city of Alachua will be holding the annual tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 1 to kick off the Christmas season.
The tree lighting ceremony will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday on Main Street in Alachua.
There will be a children’s train, bounce house, arts and crafts for kids, live music, carriage rides, free hot chocolate and popcorn.
