Cox Communications will celebrate the grand opening of its newest retail store located on NW 43rd Street in Gainesville on Saturday.
The public is invited to the event that will run from noon to 2 p.m. at 2278 NW 43rd St.
The event comes after the store celebrated its ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, Cox employees and other local dignitaries on Friday morning.
The store’s grand opening event will feature Sloane Blakely and Riley McCusker of the UF women’s gymnastics team and will also include food and refreshments, raffle prizes, UF mascots Albert and Alberta and UF cheerleaders.
The new state-of-the-art retail store will provide home automation solutions, entertainment packages, high-speed internet products and the company’s latest offering, Cox Mobile.
Customers will be able to interact with the new Cox Mobile phones at interactive demo stations while discovering various accessories and gadgets the company provides.
The new store replaces the former location near the Cox administrative offices on 43rd Street.
