Harvest Thyme Express to open café at San Felasco Tech City

Local eatery Harvest Thyme Express recently leased space for a 2,400-square-foot café at San Felasco Tech City (SFTC) in Alachua with the store set to open in February 2024.

In an SFTC release, the café will be joining 55 other companies that are now located at SFTC.

“We love being a part of the growth we’ve seen over the last few years at Tech City.  We can’t wait to bring our yummy food to everyone in the area,” said Caitlin Burkill, owner of Harvest Thyme Express, in a press release.

Harvest Thyme Express currently has cafés in Gainesville (7415 NW 4th Blvd.) and in Alachua (14816 Main St.) and features a menu that serves customers who are vegan, vegetarian, have allergies or are gluten-free. The SFTC location will have a combination of indoor and outdoor seating.      

“Strategically, we’ve waited for the ideal café to come along and fill the need out here.  Harvest Thyme Express has the quality and selection that our tenants, their employees, and the area residents have long requested.  The Café will provide a drive-thru for customers on the go, and will be open for breakfast and lunch,” said Mitch Glaeser, CEO of Emory Group Companies and owner of San Felasco Tech City, in a press release.

The café’s hours are 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday and the restaurant is closed on the weekends.

“The Tech City community is thriving evidenced by the latest edition of Harvest Thyme Café. We have no doubt their fresh quality food will be well received on campus,” said Dan Drotos, senior vice president with Colliers GNV Commercial Advisory Team, who represented San Felasco Tech City in the transaction, according to the press release.
