Nothing Bundt Cakes to open in Gainesville

When your sweet tooth needs satisfying, Nothing Bundt Cakes will do the job—and before long, the national franchise will open at Butler Esplanade in Gainesville.

On Wednesday Butler Enterprises announced the planned opening for spring 2022. Franchisees Derrick and Amber Robinson will open the Gainesville location just off of SW 35th Boulevard near Publix.

Derrick is a Gainesville native and P.K. Yonge graduate who played for the Cincinnati Reds and works as team coordinator for the Kansas City Royals, according to a Butler Enterprises press release.

“We’re excited to be a part of this amazing franchise and even more excited to open the first Nothing Bundt Cakes in Gainesville,” Amber said in a statement.

Nothing Bundt Cakes serves doughnut-shaped cake in a variety of flavors—vanilla, white chocolate raspberry, red velvet, lemon—and styles, including traditional, tiered miniature and tower.

The business first opened its doors in Las Vegas in 1997 and has since spread through the county. According to its website, the company currently has more than 400 locations, including 31 operating in Florida.
