UF increases access to COVID-19 testing

UF is increasing testing availability in response to rising cases locally and nationally.

In the Florida Department of Health’s weekly report released on Friday, Alachua County’s 2,072 new COVID-positive cases showed a 22.1 percent increase over the Dec. 24 tally.

UF Health Shands Hospital and North Florida Regional Medical Center have booth experienced recent surges in COVID-positive hospitalizations. 

UF Health released notice on Tuesday that it is moving all testing to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium starting Thursday, Jan. 6. 

Students, faculty and staff should complete the screening questionnaire on ONE.UF to schedule a test. 

If no appointments are available, please check back as appointments are being daily. Currently, testing is only available by appointment.

Parking is available at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center parking lot where a limited number of spaces are reserved for temporary parking to facilitate COVID-19 testing at the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. These spaces will be located near the 2nd Avenue entrance in the northwest corner of the lot.

Testing for community members who are not UF students, faculty or staff is available at local health department centers and drugstores.

UF Health first encourages community members to first call your primary care provider if you’re concerned you may have been exposed to COVID-19. If you do not have a primary care physician, please contact the health department in your area to get tested:
