Two armed robbers wearing ski masks struck at the Family Dollar in Archer on Monday night.
According to Alachua County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Capt. Kaley Behl, the robbery report came at 9:01 p.m. at the store located at 12840 SW State Road 45.
“Two people went into the Family Dollar wearing ski masks and robbed it at gunpoint,” Behl said.Â
ACSO deputies brought in a K-9 unit to do tracking, she said.
“There are promising leads,” Behl said, adding the case is under investigation.
One Archer resident reported seeing deputies outside the store “with guns drawn” and noted that she saw several law enforcement vehicles arriving on scene and that traffic shut down on State Road 24 near the Santa Fe College Davis Center.
