Athletes preparing for youth and high school sports this fall can receive a free sports physical from the UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute.

The exams will take place from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday at the institute, which is located at 3450 Hull Road (second floor) in Gainesville.

Before arriving, UF said a parent or guardian should fill out the required forms available on the FHSAA website or on Popwarner.com for Pop Warner athletes.

No appointment is necessary, and the physicals are open to anyone in Alachua County and surrounding areas.

Free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines will also be available for children 12 years and older with a parent or guardian present. UF encourages registration for the vaccine, and parents must complete a consent form before their children can receive it. Insurance information is not necessary.

Masks are required while at UF clinics.
