The 1000 Voices of Florida, in partnership with the city of Gainesville’s arts and culture department, will begin providing free cultural arts and lifestyle programming to youth, adults and seniors at the T.B. McPherson Center. 

The partnership will kick off with a soft opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the T.B. McPherson Center, 1717 SE 15th St. 

The event will feature music, food, games and prizes in celebration of the new partnership in an established location.

“The center that once was the hub of the community has barely been used in the past 10 years,” 1000 Voices director Joy Banks wrote in a text.
