10th annual Tree Fest returns to Gainesville

Swamp Head Brewery and Solar Impact will host the 10th annual Tree Fest, which supports the Alachua Conservation Trust and raises money to plant trees.  

The event will take place from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at Swamp Head Brewer (3650 SW 42nd Ave.) in Gainesville. 

Any beer purchased during the event directly funds the planting of four trees in Alachua County.

Purchases of food from Radha’s Kitchen, Taino Roots, Soul Spice and Uppercrust and Tree Fest merchandise will also benefit the trees. 

Until 5 p.m., local environmental nonprofits and organizations will have informational booths set up on the lawn in front of the brewery.  

Additionally, family friendly activities, eco craft vendors, and local bands Jordan Burchel, Half Gone, and Tamayo. 

This year, event organizers and sponsors have an ambitious goal to fund 120,000 trees.
