The Florida Heritage Foods initiative started by Santa Fe College will be hosting the Crops and Colors Festival so visitors can learn more about locally grown crops.

The festival will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Grow Hub (2900 NE 8th Ave.).

Visitors can learn how to grow and cook nutritionally dense, locally grown crops and discover new recipes and cooking techniques.

Mainstreet does not have a paywall, but pavement-pounding journalism is not free. Join your neighbors who make this vital work possible.

Crops grown by local farmers will be available for purchase, and there will be an opportunity to hear from UF/IFAS extension agents about how to grow these crops in your own backyard or farm.
