The Greater Gainesville International Center will host “Our Story, Our Voice” storytelling event on Sunday.

The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 at How Bazar (60 SW 2nd St., Gainesville). The public is invited and tickets are $10, which are available by clicking here.

Presented similarly to the Moth Radio Hour or Tedx, the event will feature three speakers from diverse backgrounds who will share their stories “From There to Hear” which focuses on migration, resilience and community.

The speakers include Manal Fakhoury who came to Ocala from Palestine. She is the president and CEO of Fakhoury Leadership International. She has 30 years of leadership and non-profit experience and serves on several community and national boards.

Another speaker is Camilo Reina Munoz who came to Gainesville from Cuba. He is a business consultant, leadership coach and co-founder of MutualSpace, a local entrepreneurship and business development firm. Munoz is also the executive director of Theatre Connect Inc.

The third speaker is Estefany Güechá Sánchez who came to Gainesville by way of Columbia. Sánchez is a social entrepreneur and the executive director and co-founder of the NGO Cerros de Cambio.
