The city of High Springs will host its annual Christmas tree lighting on Saturday.
The free event will begin at 5 p.m. on Dec. 2 at the corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue in Downtown High Springs.
There will be a special story time for the children of Polar Express including Christmas train crafts, train rides, special visits from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, a live nativity scene and carolers.
A photographer will be available for visitors to take family pictures in front of the Christmas tree or of your children on Santa’s lap.
There will be hot chocolate along with a vendor offering hot apple cider and roasted chestnuts.
