The Keepers of the Springs will hold its inaugural “Keep the Springs Glowing” fundraising event at the First Magnitude Brewing Company on Saturday.

The event, which supports the Florida springs habitat restoration and education efforts, will start at 5 p.m. and feature vendors, beverages, food and live music from Hannah Harber and Maha and The Lions.

Every pint purchased will go toward planting young eelgrass shoots in a spring. Eel grass is the favorite food of the vulnerable Florida manatee and is very important to the spring’s ecosystem.

There will be learning activities for all ages, local artists, raffles, plant sales, and creative workshops available. The evening will include DJ sets and a late-night glow party. Glow merchandise can be purchased upon arrival with funds going toward the spring’s restoration efforts.
