Kona Ice celebrates national “Chill Out” Day

To relieve the stress associated with Tax Day, Kona Ice will host its seventh annual national “Chill Out” Day on Monday at the Newberry Post Office.

The island-inspired truck will hand out free cups of tropical shaved ice from the Newberry Post Office parking lot from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as they ensure, “that there is no taxation without relaxation this tax season,” according to their press release.

National “Chill Out ” Day marks one of the ways Kona Ice encourages the nation to take a step back, relax and enjoy a Kona. Through partnerships with schools, youth sports leagues and other neighborhood organizations, Kona Ice has given back more than $100 million to the communities it serves.
