The Matheson Historical Museum will host Sarah's Birthday Bash on Saturday.
The Matheson History Museum will be hosting a birthday party to celebrate Sara Hamilton Matheson’s birthday.
The event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Sweetwater Park (532 SE 2nd Ave).
The birthday party honors Sara Matheson, the original patron of the Matheson Museum and the last resident of the historic Matheson House. The house was bequeathed to the Museum on her death in 1996.
Musicians Jason and Sarah Hedges will perform music on the front porch of the Museum. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the music.
