ASO issues call for help locating missing child

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ASO) has issued a call for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Gainesville girl. 

“Sheriff Clovis Watson Jr. needs your help in locating the following missing juvenile,” the ASO posted to Facebook. 

The missing child is Delia Marie Young, age 13. She is listed as 4 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing about 75 pounds. 

According to the ASO, Young was last seen in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 15, around NW 142nd Avenue in far north Gainesville.

She was last seen wearing blue pajamas with white stars and is not in possession of a cellphone, the ASO reported. 

“Please call our Communications Center at (352) 955-1818 if you know where she is,” the ASO said.
