FHP starts 4-day I-75 aggressive traffic operation

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) announced Monday it will conduct a four-day aggressive traffic operation along Interstate 75 in three North Central counties.

FHP will run a Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (H.E.A.T.) detail starting Monday and running through Thursday, Nov. 18, in Columbia, Alachua and Marion counties.

According to the FHP release, the high visibility patrol will focus on reducing crashes, injuries and fatalities caused by unlawful speed, following too closely and other hazardous moving violations.
