Judith Raanan, a freed Gaza hostage who was abducted by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7 and released two weeks later, will speak at the Chabad UF Jewish Student and Community Center on April 15.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 15, at 2021 NW 5th Ave. in Gainesville and the event will start at 7:30 p.m.

Raanan, 59, and her 18-year-old daughter Natalie traveled from Chicago to Israel to celebrate Judith’s mother’s 85th birthday in Kibbutz Hahal Oz when, on Oct. 7, they were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists. The two were among the first to be released from nearly 240 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.
