Five juveniles shot at party in Gainesville

The Gainesville Police Department is searching for two shooters responsible for wounding five juveniles at a party Thursday night.

According to reports, at approximately 10:26 p.m., multiple GPD units responded to several calls of shots fired at the American Legion located at 4701 NW 6th Street.

Reports state that when the GPD officers arrived at the scene they discovered five shooting victims.

Four juvenile victims were located outside and one juvenile victim was located inside of the American Legion building.

According to GPD spokesperson Graham Glover, further investigation revealed that there was a juvenile teen party being held at the American Legion when two shooters exchanged gunfire, leading to the victims being shot.

Currently, there are no suspects in custody.
