The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe storm warning for North Central Florida starting late Thursday morning.
According to a report released from the Jacksonville NWS office Wednesday afternoon, the region will start seeing scattered thunderstorms starting in the morning and lasting throughout the afternoon.
Winds will range between 15 to 20 miles per hour, but in some areas gusts could increase to 30 and 35 mph, according to the NWS. There is also a slight risk for isolated tornadoes across the Suwannee Valley and Interstate 75 corridor.
