Orange Park woman dies in accident near Melrose

An Orange Park woman died Monday night when she lost control of her vehicle along Country Road 219A near Melrose.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the 22-year-old female driver was traveling north around 10:30 p.m. on Country Road 219A south of State Road 26 when she approached a curve to the left and lost control of her sedan. Her car traveled into a ditch, hit a culvert and overturned onto its roof.

FHP reports the woman was wearing her seatbelt.
