An SUV struck and killed a 61-year-old Bell man who was lying on US Highway 129 on Thursday morning.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 57-year-old Bell woman was driving a GMC Acadia south on US 129 near NW 5th Street at 6:15 a.m. when she struck the Bell man, who was reportedly lying in the southbound lane of travel.
Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene.
